Research an auteur music video director.  Examples could be Michel Gondry, Chris Milk, Chris Cunningham, David Fincher, Spike Jonze, Matt Yoka, Ty Segall, David Cronenburg. Produce a video about them for your blog. Approx. 2 hours

 “An auteur is a filmmaker whose individual style and complete control over all elements of production give a film its personal and unique stamp.” Creating meaning that only he can, using the tools of filmmaking, through the lens of his mind and personality. A bad movie from an auteur was at least the work of an artist.

Spike Jonze 

- Adam Spiegel (born October 22, 1969) known professionally as Spike Jonze, is an American filmmaker photographer and actor, whose work includes music videos, commercials, film and television.
- Started working in 1985.

Career 

- He started his career as a teenager photographing BMX riders and skateboarders for Freestylin' magazine and transworld Skateboarding, and co-founded the youth culture magazine.
- Moving into film-making he began shooting street skateboarding films, including the influential video Days 1991. Jonze's film-making style made him an in-demand director of music videos for the much of the 1990's, resulting in collaborating with Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys, Fatboy Slim, Daft Punk, Weezer, Bjork, Kanye West and Arcade Fire.
- Jonze began his film-directing career with Being John Malkovich (1999) and Adapation (2002), both written by Charlie. Kaufman; the former earned Jonze an Academy Award nomination for Best Director. He was a co-creator and executive producer of MTV's Jackass reality franchise. Jonze later began directing films based on his own screenplays.
- He has worked as an actor sporadically throughout his career, co-starring in Three Kings (1999), The Wolf Of Wall Street (2013) ect. 
- The music videos for "Only One" by Kanye West and 'Sabotage' by Beastie Boys both follow the same conventions, they were both directed by Spike Jonze and have similar home style videos which is by his original way of hand-held shots. This home-style of the music video Kanye West intended for was filmed using an iPhone to give the video a feel of realism in a foggy field with his daughter North not only adding authenticity but a side very different from the usual conventions of music videos by people respected in that industry.
- He is currently the creative director of Vice Media, Inc, a multinational television channel on Vice TV.

Destiny's Child has a clear and direct gaze towards the camera, sat in similar positions with their legs crossed and open with a almost confrontational/sassy and direct facial expression. COVID-19 explanation for the music video

Explanation for Independent Women. Pt, 1 (Covid-19 Updated)  Originally, for my music video I wanted to portray a young women who has just gone through a toxic breakup in which was holding her down from achieving her dreams. The video will of shown aspects of gender inequality within the workplace and life in general, and how feminism can sometimes be seen in lacking in intersectionality.
