COVID-19 explanation for the music video

Explanation for Independent Women. Pt, 1 (Covid-19 Updated)  Originally, for my music video I wanted to portray a young women who has just gone through a toxic breakup in which was holding her down from achieving her dreams. The video will of shown aspects of gender inequality within the workplace and life in general, and how feminism can sometimes be seen in lacking in intersectionality. But due to Covid-19 I was unable to film with anyone and show these different representations of race, sex, class ect. This idea of intersectionality of heavily important in society, as it enables us to examine the various ways people can be oppressed based on individual identities which leads to unique forms of cruel exercise of authority in this case the power of male authority. I feel that topic is still very important to share as there is still an ongoing gender wage gap, so is important to share to my demographic of sophisticated, culturally and socially awa...

Plan a set of original images of your artist. To be used on your website. Destiny's Child has a clear and direct gaze towards the camera, sat in similar positions with their legs crossed and open with a almost confrontational/sassy and direct facial expression. The style of the original frame if 90's esque style.       Again similar to the other original photograph they have a striking and eye-catching pose with a clear direct gaze. They are all featuring a fake gun pose, which could stand for female empowerment and taking charge.  The style of the original frame if 90's esque style.    They are all very a very natural colour scheme which accentuates their gorgeous skin, they are all wrapping their arms around one another and directly gazing at the audience which could convey how powerful they are together. They look relaxed and confident in this...

"Treatment" Draft

Write a draft 'treatment'. This should include information on your target audience and how you are attracting them, location plans, equipment plans, crew roles, effects in video etc. 3 hours  A treatment is a document that presents the story idea of your music video. A video treatment is your best effort in defining your project, presenting a clear synopsis of your story, developing your production and organising its purpose. It is often the first and only change you have in presenting a commercial project and making a pitch. Song Title - "Independent Women Pt 1" by Beyonce  Overall idea - In the video I aim to use media language and specific mise-en-scene to show the slow imporovemmt to gender equality but also to show the huge gender inequality that still lives to this day. I want my audience to understand the the fact that feminism still sometimes to be lacking in intersectionality the interconnected nature of social catergorisations such as race, class and g...

Where I am going to put the artists logo and title of the song.

Where I am going to put the artists logo and title of the song. As the initial beat of the song indicates a fast and upbeat tempo, I will add the title of the song "Independent Women, Pt 1" to the beat of the song within the first few seconds of the song in front of a background, the logo will be shortly followed as they are the directer of the song and many songs follow this convention. The logo/bands icon will also be integrated into the video, by being placed onto objects and again highlight symbols from the women's rights movement. I hope to have the bands icon in a scene at the beginning of the video, where the person featuring in the video kisses a mirror, this is then followed by the title of the song and then as the brand icon uses this it will then be replaced by the band icon.

Create a new logo/brand icon for your chosen artist.

Create a new logo/brand icon for your chosen artist .  This will be used in both the video and the website. One hour I have chosen this logo/brand icon to serve for my fictional artist 'Future-Female', for my coursework. This logo incorporates the overall style of brand and uses specific media language and combines elements to overcome this lack of freedom and ongoing gender inequality, and time to move beyond "Gender is Socially C onstructed". This completely capitalist view is the difference between "sex" and "gender", whilst sex is biological, gender is psychological, social or cultural.  Gender is thus "socially constructed" in the sense that unlike biological sex gender is a product of scoiety. Society determines what is masculine or feminine, and what job best see fit but recently statistics have shown that "girls are outperforming boys in school right ...

Mood Board for "Independent Women. Pt 1" by Destiny's Child.  Create a mood board, either physically using glue and scissors, or digitally. Upload it to your blog; write a short entry on why you have used what you have on the board and it conforms to the expectations of your music genre. Approx 90 minutes For my music video I have decided to have very neutral tones, soft tones and contrast these occasionally bright and stylish colours, for exmaple red lipstick or a piece of eye-catching clothing - this will give the video a contmepary and sophisticated look. Throughout the video I will film in numerous locations, daylight and dark shots lit my maybe candle light to give it a sensual feel, suggesting that no women don't need to dress up for men but for their own pleasure. In my music video I have taken inspiration of this shot of Beyonce in an Hollywood mirror, which I wou...

Statement of Intent.

Statement of Intent In my A-level music video I aim to use media language to produce a pop music video combining elements of dance and singing which will include aspects of gender inequality and the fact that feminism can sometimes be seen as lacking in intersectionality. We need to understand the intersectionality understanding of feminism as it requites us as a society to examine all different ways people can be oppressed based on individual identities and how these various identities can combine to unique forms of cruel  exercise of authority.  I have chosen to use "Independent  Woman, Pt. 1" by Destiny's Child as I have always been inspired by their female strength, vocal assertiveness and passion to spread female success and close the gender wage gap. "Independent Woman" is defined as "A woman who pays her own bills, buys her own things, and does not allow a man to affect her ...
